Teaching Qualification: Gymnasium


Program structure

Gymnasium teaching degree: Two teaching subjects are combined. In addition, the course of study is supplemented by the study of educational science. This results in the following combination of subjects:

  • 2 teaching subjects
  • Educational science studies

Description

The program provides assured competencies in Spanish literature, culture and linguistics as well as expert language skills in Spanish and knowledge of the Spanish cultural area.

The length of the program depends on the progress of an individual's studies. The standard period of study, the time in which the intended program can be finished ideally is 9 semesters. The actual time taken to complete the program may vary. It is limited by the examination deadlines set out in the examination regulations.?


Program scope

270 ECTS credits overall;
comprising 92 ECTS credits for each teaching subject, 10 ECTS credits in each subject didactics, 35 ECTS credits in education, 10 ECTS credits in the thesis, 15 ECTS credits in the elective area, 6 ECTS credits teaching practice.

  • small or large Latinum or assured knowledge of Latin
  • The study program does not necessarily require Spanish language skills; they can be acquired during the course of the first two semesters (level B1/B2 CEFR).
