About
I joined Rainer Spang's group in October 2014. Before I switched to bioinformatics I did my PhD in theoretical high-energy physics, where my main research focus was on effective field theory descriptions of quantum chromodynamics.
Now I’m interested in applied and statistical bioinformatics. Currently I try to develop strategies for classifying tumors according to their molecular fingerprint. ?I’m also interested in questions of tumor progression, particularly in using computer power to screen for biologically relevant mechanisms that drive the development of metastases.
