Research

My main research interests are in the fields of clinical psychology and health psychology. My previous work includes topics like eating behavior, eating disorders, and obesity in particular, but also other mental disorders and transdiagnostic concepts in general. A major part of my work has been about measurement and assessment of eating behavior and eating disorders, controversially discussed concepts such as food addiction and orthorexia nervosa as well as predictors and moderators of treatment outcome in eating disorders and other mental disorders. Transdiagnostic topics include food craving, impulsivity, emotion regulation, and life satisfaction.
