Team learning

Having focused my doctoral thesis on “The role of emotions in team learning - Affective and cognitive aspects in teamwork of interdisciplinary work teams at vocational colleges”, my first research interest is in team learning and the different cognitive and affective conditions for team learning. In particular, emotions as affective team learning conditions are the focus of my research so far. To study these variables in a complex social learning environment, such as teamwork, the use of mixed methods proved fruitful. By the use of qualitative research methods, it was possible to learn more about the interaction between the team members of a work team, which focuses on the interpersonal level. My second research interest is the design of learning environments in order to foster the interdisciplinary teamwork of work teams at vocational colleges.
