The FIDS: Campus and the City.

The campus of the University of Regensburg with its own bus station is located about 2 km south of the city centre and main railway station.

Information Science has developed the URWalking campus navigation system with the help of students. Users can enter their current location and desired destination and URWalking will then show them the way to the building they are looking for - rain-safe if desired.

Information Science, Media Informatics and Information Systems courses are primarily held on campus. In the B.Sc. degree programmes in Computer Science and Data Science, there is a campus day in higher semesters, i.e. one day a week on which (almost) all courses take place on campus and, in particular, courses in the above-mentioned departments can be attended.
