DAAD Eastern Partnership Programme

Objective

The overall objective of the DAAD's Eastern Partnership Programme is to promote partnerships between German universities and universities in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe, as well as the CIS states.

The programme aims to...

  • consolidate existing and initiate new, lasting partnerships with universities in the target region,
  • contribute to broad-based cooperation in teaching and research,
  • promote the exchange of researchers, graduates and students,
  • sustainably and structurally improve teaching and research conditions in the partner countries,
  • and to strengthen the internationalization of the participating German and foreign universities.


What is being funded?

Funding is provided for:

  • Research stays of university staff. UR participants receive a lump sum travel allowance, participants from partner universities receive a lump sum accommodation allowance.
  • Group programs under the supervision of a university lecturer (travel allowance for UR participants or accommodation allowance for participants from partner universities).

Which partnership agreements exist at the UR?

The University of Regensburg has partnership agreements with the following universities:

  • Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia
  • Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic
  • Babe?-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania
  • University of Lodz, Poland
  • Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic
  • University of Zagreb, Croatia

The application deadline for the calendar year 2025 is December 4th, 2024.


Funding period 2025-2027

Our application for the funding period 2025-2027 was approved by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

Due to a change in the application process, measures that have not been applied for by the deadline can unfortunately no longer be considered.
