What you can expect:
In the Bachelor's degree program, we provide a clearly structured basic curriculum during which you have the opportunity to develop all methodological skills concerning history of art and visual studies. A comprehensive curriculum on the latest digital working techniques offers the chance to set individual focal points.
In the Master's degree program, you can also set individual focal points – in the fields of curating, digital art history, contemporary art, art and law, or film studies. You have the opportunity to work on projects or participate in the writing workshop at an early stage of your studies. In the international doctoral colloquium AISTHESIS, further post-graduate perspectives in history of art are presented.
Early on, you are welcome to participate in field trips (ART BASEL, BIENNALE, European art centres). Special events – such as the ZOOM lecture series, the eye-tracking laboratory with experiments on perception, and exhibition projects – provide additional opportunities to experience current research discourses in a very personal way. With "Beyond History of Art", our event providing information on the job market, numerous innovative career prospects open up for you, for which you will be prepared during your course of studies.
There we regularly present all news, events, lectures, symposia and current exhibitions.
