From the Central Bus Stop to the Central Library

The barrier-free route from the Central Bus Stop (ZOH) to the Central Library (ZB) leads in an eastern direction along Albertus-Magnus-Stra?e:

  • Past zebra crossing.
  • Past the stairs.
  • Past the lift.
  • Crossing a street.
  • Past the main entrance to the Audimax.
  • Go to entrance ZB3 (after about 300 metres).
  • Through an automatic door into the vestibule to the lift (no. 26).
  • Select "0" to level Foyer Central Library. Via this floor, referred to in the building as level 5, you will reach e.g. the Information Desk, Textbook Collection and Lending Desk.

From the Central Library to the Philosophicum

The barrier-free path from the Central Library (ZB) to the Philosophicum leads north:

  • Past the Multimedia Centre in the Central Library.

  • Pass the toilets.

  • Keep left towards the lift.

  • In the lift (level 0) select level -2.

  • Pass the Europaeum and turn left.

  • Straight ahead is the reading room Philosophicum 2 (level 1).

  • To get to level 2 and the reading room Philosophicum 1, turn right through the door towards the staircase to the lift.
    In the lift (level 1) select level 2.

  • From the lift straight on through the staircase, the reading room Philosophicum 1 is on the left and the reading room Philosophicum 2 (gallery) is on the right.

From the Central Library to the Computer Centre

The barrier-free path from the Central Library (ZB) to the Computer Centre (RZ) leads in a southern direction:

  • Past the circulation desk and the textbook collection.
  • Pass the lift on the left, over the ramp, through the passage ("L?wengang").
  • There you will find the three CIP pools on the right-hand side: CIP pool RZ 1, CIP pool RZ 2 and CIP pool RZ 3.
  • Through the first door on the left, after approx. 20 metres on the right-hand side you will find the lift (select "Floor 0" in the lift).
    • On the right:
      • Hardware procurement (RZ 0.17A).
      • At the back on the right: equipment lending and workshop (RZ 0.28).
    • Left, after about 10 metres on the left:
      • Print centre and CIP pool RZ 4 (RZ 0.40).
    • Left, approx. 20 metres straight ahead:
      • Information desk computer centre (RZ 0.02).
      • Next to the information desk: Software Procurement (RZ 0.03).

Please note: The alternative route via the ground floor/lake level is unfortunately not usable at present due to construction work.

From the Central Library to the Reading Rooms Law I and Economics

The barrier-free path from the Central Library (ZB) to the Law I reading room leads in a northward direction:

  • Past the multimedia centre in the Central Library.
  • Pass the toilets.
  • Keep left towards the lift.
  • In the lift, go down one floor to floor -1 (level 4).
  • Turn right and go through the left door with the motion detector (door opens automatically).
  • Straight ahead through the left door into the Audimax building.
  • Door opens by pressing a button, and turn right.
  • Down the ramp and past the hanging artwork.
  • Past the stairs, turn right to the lifts (lifts 6A and 6B Audimax).
  • Two floors down to the lower floor (UG).
  • Exit the lift to the right.
  • Turn left, follow the corridor to the right, past the toilets.
  • Turn left again and pass the stairs and the lockers.
  • Turn right through the first glass door.
  • Straight ahead, past lecture hall H12 and through the next glass door.
  • Turn left after the glass door.
  • After a few metres, the reading room Law I is on the right.
