Welcome at the homepage of the Bauer group!

We are an 2018 started Junior research group lead by PD Dr. Jonathan Bauer. We are working in the field of main group metal chemistry especially with siloxanes, silicon-based lewis acids and phosphonium ions.

Requests for theses?(Master, Bachelor, First degrees) with opportunity for a?further engagement for Ph.D. are welcome.

The subjects are?in the area?of elementorganic synthesis, stuctural chemistry and reactivity studies on new siloxane-based molecular systems. We are looking for motivated members with joy for preparative, structural and stereochemical problems and who are open for learning new analytical methods as well as quantum and structural chemistry.?

Employment requirements for Ph.D. students?are a completed university degree in chemistry, experience in working with inert?gas technique, solid knowledge of the english language, eloquence, strong interest for silicon chemistry, enthusiasm and joy for scientific working.
