Educational Supervision

We believe it is vital that educators receive useful and actionable feedback on how they can improve their teaching. As part of our educational supervision program, we observe one of your classes and analyze it from top to bottom. Optionally, we can also record the class, so you can reflect on your approach and behavior more deeply. An experienced member of the Center will assist you in this process, and you get to decide which aspects of your teaching we should focus on when we observe you in class.

For example, we could focus on the following points:

• Class interactions (does the learning environment/atmosphere support learning? What can I do to get through to my students?)
• Your teaching methods (strategies for how to convey course content in terms of methodological framework)
• Use of media/lecture notes/use of visual aids

Details will then be discussed with the Center member you’re in touch with on a case-by-case basis. We guarantee that the data we collect will be treated confidentially and won’t be passed on to third parties.

Accredition towards Zertifikat Hochschullehre Bayern

Having us sit in on one of your classes as well as a follow up feedback session is accredited with 4 units of work toward Section D Reflection and Evaluation of the Bavarian Certificate for Teaching in Higher Education (Zertifikat Hochschullehre Bayern).
